The World Is Your Oyster

Don't let the thought of having endless possibilities scare you out of stepping into the unknown. Let it be freeing. Let it be what motivates you. Let it be what encourages you to know that you couldn't possibly mess up everything if you tired. Possibilities are endless! What's the worst that could happen?

I wanted to share some quick thoughts around this topic because I feel like it is something I have struggled with far too many times. The world that we live in is massive. It is intriguing to think of everything that is out there-- the countless opportunities, hundreds of thousands of different cultures, so much to learn, and see, and do, and the millions of ways to grow. I think it is far too easy to look at it all and feel paralyzed in the place that you're in. Whether it be the fear of the unknown, the fear of failure, or even just the fear of other people's opinions, we tend to let fear get in the way and hold us back.

I would love to encourage you today to try and to stop this endless cycle and start living life in the way you always dreamed that you would! The fact is, there are so many opportunities out there that you could basically do anything that you set your mind to. We are living in such exciting times and I know that I want to make the most of out it! For me, living in NYC can be overwhelming and if I let myself, I can look at all of the successful people around me and start to feel small and inadequate. But what's the point in that? Negative comparisons only produce negative outcomes. Instead, I want to view the successful people around me as motivation that I can literally do ANYTHING

My challenge is this: Look around you and and instead of letting fear and worry shape the way you see the world, let it be excitement and thankfulness. The only way I have learned (and am still learning) to do this is through my relationship with Jesus and from reading His word.

Philippians 4:6-7 "Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life."

I hope this encourages you and that you all have a great day!!
