Friendspiration Friday: KATE
Introducing one of my very best friends- KATE!!
Kate was born in Andalusia, Alabama but spent the majority of her childhood throughout Kentucky. She attended the College Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati in Ohio, and majored in Dramatic Performance. While attending college, Kate met Nick and the two of them got married in Mexico just 9 months later!
Kate and Nick moved to New York City in the Summer of 2011. When I asked Kate why they moved here, her response was, "Our reason for moving here? God told us to. I guess it's that simple! And the adventure has been unfolding ever since!" Something that I admire so much about Kate is her incredible faith in God. She holds tight to what she believes, and at the same time, knows how to be adaptable to changes which are an inevitable part of life.
Four years after moving to NYC and having a variety of jobs, Kate now works for a family whom she loves very much! Her every day is different, and the day ranges from working for the family's telecommunications company, to hanging out with their 16 month old son, Campbell. Each day is unique, just the way she likes it to be! :)
Kate has been one of those friends who has changed the game for me. I met her through our church, Hillsong NYC, and I have spent so much time with her since then! From our countless coffee dates and endless conversations over chips + guac, I know that Kate will be a lifelong friend. Not only am I close with her, but also with her husband! We go on double dates and hang out pretty much any chance we get! I admire so much about the two of them as a couple, and am inspired by them each and every time they are around.
Kate is such an incredible friend who has stood by my side through so much! Her work ethic, her vast knowledge about pretty much anything, and her strength in hard times have all impacted my life in a major way. I am so thankful to have such a genuine and authentic friend in a city like New York!
I love you, Kate!
