Ruffles in Rome

Zach and I are on a train in Milan heading to the airport... :( As I'm sure you already know from my several insta posts + stories, we had such a great trip to Italy!! It was my first time to Europe ((besides having a long layover in Amsterdam last year, ha!)) so it was extra special to me! Not to mention— we took the trip to celebrate my 27th birthday as well! Even though we are so sad to leave, we are also excited to see our friends + get back into our usual schedules. I can't wait to go more in depth about our trip and give you lots of tips + ideas for the different cities we visited, but until then I couldn't wait to share this look with you guys that I wore when we were in Rome! A lot of you seemed to really love this ruffle top when I posted it on Instagram, so I wanted to get it up on the blog ASAP! :)

Ruffles are all the rage this season, creating more flowy, elegant, and feminine silhouettes. Even though I'm usually not a super "girly girl," I have really loved wearing ruffles lately! Lucy Paris did such a amazing job on this top— I wish I owned it in every color! I love how it has 3 tiered layers and creates a bell shape for the sleeve. I paired it with my frayed hem Buffalo Jeans, Steve Madden ankle books, and my favorite coach bag! It was such a fun + romantic look to wear while wondering the beautiful streets of Trastevere.
