Stars + Stripes

July 4th is one of my favorite ((okay... it is my actual FAVORITE)) holidays!! Besides the obvious significance of Independence Day, July 4th has always held a special place in my heart because of the memories I have made on this day year after year. Growing up in South Carolina, July 4th was a day spent with family and friends at the lake or pool, grilling out, and watching fireworks. It was all about being with the people you love, relaxing, and having a good time! :) In this July 4th inspired look, I am wearing a TopShop striped denim dress with Vans. This year I wanted to be a bit more subtle with the red, white, and blue and decided to focus mostly on white and blue.. but then of course had to add in a red lip! The boxy silhouette of the dress makes it super easy + comfortable to wear-- not to mention it also has some great patch pockets! I love the scooped neckline, and the gray tank I wore underneath matches the same scooped shape. I paired the look with my favorite Vans and backpack to give it a casual + sporty look that works well on the beach, at a BBQ in the city, or anywhere in between!
