City Chic

It's crazy how much you start to love these streets after living in NYC for so long... They are always crowded, buzzing with noise and traffic, and overflowing with pedestrians coming from every direction. Not to mention, 99.9% of the time the streets are completely lined with trash ((...and let's not even mention the smells!)). No-- it doesn't exactly paint the most beautiful picture, but the energy you'll find on these streets is one that can't be matched no matter where you look. :)

One of my all-time favorite combos to wear in this crazy city is leather + lace. It's chic, it's timeless, and it's sexy... the perfect combo of tough + feminine! I don't think I own anything else in this deep red color, but this top has convinced me to start buying it more often! The scalloped lace detailing around the hem, neckline, and sleeve opening are so delicate and beautiful. This Lucy Paris top paired with my pleather pencil skirt made for such a chic look that I'll definitely be wearing again for any nighttime event or special occasion!
