Fishnets + Jeans — Tara Michelle Brose

If you would have told me that I would be wearing fishnets under my jeans + a crushed velvet top about a year ago, I would have been like um....what?! Haha! I love the fact that fashion is always changing. Even though I love a good classic look, it's so much fun following trends too! I ran into Duane Reade to purchase these fishnets before a recent shoot ((see that look here!)) and have gotten so much use out of them already! I've basically paired them with all of my planned outfits for NYFW... whoops lol! Long and short dresses, skirts, jeans, you name it! They make any look more fun + trendy! I had so much fun wearing them under my distressed denim for this shoot with the amazing Geo. We hung out together in Williamsburg for the day, shot around at Rough Trade, and then went to one of my favorite "quiet" places in BK with a gorgeous view of the city! It's pretty rare finding quiet spots in NYC, so when you find them you try not to ever forget them! This spot in particular is one of my favs because it's close to my apartment, right on the water, and you can even sit on the rocks to enjoy the view! :) Water is my fav, so I am a huge fan of sitting out here when I need to take a breath and have a little quiet time.
