GIRL POWER
There isn't anything more beautiful than when women from all walks of life come together, stand beside one another, and lift each other up. Not only is it a beautiful site to see, but it is also super powerful!
For far too long girls have been so catty towards each other, gossipy, and judgmental. You'd think that knowing the struggle our gender has been through throughout history would cause us to be each other's #1 fans-- always pushing each other forward-- however that is unfortunately not always the case.
Let's make 2017 an even more monumental year than it has already started out to be... Yes, let's make it a year where women stand together like never before, but let's do it publicly AND privately. I think sometimes it's easier to be a part of the "bigger" moments, like joining the Women's March, etc. ((which I think is extremely important + amazing btw!)), but let's make sure that we are also carrying that same 'girl power' attitude into our daily lives! What women are you encouraging on a regular basis? Who needs a little extra love at your school or your workplace? I think often times those little moments are the ones that make such a big difference, but seem to get overlooked. Who can we include in our lives rather than exclude?
When I think about the generations to come, I want to carve the way for women EVERYWHERE to feel empowered. I want my children and my children's children to only hear about women being treated differently in a textbook, and not have to experience it firsthand. I want her to love and support the women around her and not play the comparison game... I want her to feel confident + secure, and that same boldness bubble over into the lives of those around her.
For as long as I can remember I have always strived to be a strong, independent women. But there is no way I would be who or where I am today without the constant support and encouragement from other strong women along the way. They are the ones who inspire me. They are the ones who have paved the way, and made me feel equipped to walk down the same path with confidence. As many of you already know, my faith is the foundation of my life. And I can't help but mention how God created men and women equally, but I truly believe He made women so special and with a purpose. I'll wrap this up by sharing a few verses that truly inspire + motivate me as a woman. These verses help me remind myself that I am loved, cherished, fearfully and wonderfully made, respected, and most definitely not an accident.
Cheers to International Women's Day! I truly love you all + wish you all the best!!

Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something. Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day. ~Psalm 139:13-16
So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline. Be even-tempered, content with second place, quick to forgive an offense. Forgive as quickly and completely as the Master forgave you. And regardless of what else you put on, wear love. It’s your basic, all-purpose garment. Never be without it. ~Colossians 3: 12-14
In the same way, the women are to be worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything. ~1 Timothy 3:11
Let the peace of Christ keep you in tune with each other, in step with each other. None of this going off and doing your own thing. And cultivate thankfulness. Let the Word of Christ—the Message—have the run of the house. Give it plenty of room in your lives. Instruct and direct one another using good common sense. And sing, sing your hearts out to God! Let every detail in your lives—words, actions, whatever—be done in the name of the Master, Jesus, thanking God the Father every step of the way. ~Colossians 3: 15-17
I want you woven into a tapestry of love, in touch with everything there is to know of God. Then you will have minds confident and at rest, focused on Christ, God’s great mystery. ~Colossians 2:2
