California Road Trip

A couple weeks ago, my husband and I went to California for a week. ((Check out my posts- Venice Beach House and LA Market Week from earlier this month!)) I worked a few days in Los Angeles and then we took a road trip up the coast on Highway 1 to San Francisco- with a pit stop in Big Sur! We had such an amazing trip with countless opportunities to take beautiful photos. Zach was driving the whole trip, which meant I couldn't put the camera down basically trying to snap every moment of the drive!

Along the way, we stopped to stay a night in Carmel with some of Zach's family. In the morning before we finished our drive to San Francisco, Zach's uncle gave us a tour of the most beautiful resort in Big Sur- Post Ranch Inn. I cannot say enough good things about this place...it was absolutely breathtaking!! The photos hardly do it justice because it was THAT gorgeous in real life! It is extremely expensive to stay there but if you ever get the opportunity, I would highly recommend it!! We were not able to stay a night, but we were able to get a sneak peek inside of the cute rooms (aka treehouses!) and they were so dreamy.

With many stops along our drive and every photo opp even more gorgeous than the last, our short road trip turned into a pretty long one. However, we had so much fun along the way! We found a couple hidden gems, saw the most stunning sunsets, and had an unforgettable adventure together. I'm sure you've heard the cheesy saying, "it's not about the destination, it's about the journey" so I won't quote it, buuttt....!!! ;)
